Sono specifici ambiti di competenza la fisiopatologia e clinica delle malattie reumatiche, sia di quelle che colpiscono l'apparato muscoloscheletrico sia di quelle che interessano i tessuti connettivi diffusi in tutto l'organismo, nonché la semeiotica e clinica delle malattie reumatiche di natura degenerativa, flogistica, dismetabolica, infettiva, postinfettiva, autoimmune, tanto ad estrinsecazione localizzata quanto sistemica"
