    "Lo specialista in Chirurgia Toracica possiede conoscenze teoriche, scientifiche e professionali nel campo della fisiopatologia, della diagnostica clinica e strumentale, della clinica delle malattie dell’apparato respiratorio, del cuore e dei grossi vasi, dell’esofago, del mediastino e della parete toracica, di interesse chirurgico. Sono specifici ambiti di competenza l’endoscopia toracica, la chirurgia endoscopica e miniinvasiva, la chirurgia d’urgenza, la clinica e la terapia farmacologia e chirurgica delle malattie del polmone, del cuore e dei grossi vasi, dell’esofago e del mediastino, nonché della chirurgia ricostruttiva e dei trapianti del polmone"


    The specialist in Thoracic Surgery possesses theoretical, scientific and professional knowledge in the field of pathophysiology, clinical and instrumental diagnostics, clinical aspects of respiratory diseases, diseases of heart and great vessels, esophagus, mediastinum and chest wall being of surgical interest. Their specific areas of expertise are: thoracic endoscopy, endoscopic and minimally invasive surgery, emergency surgery, clinical treatment, pharmacological and surgical therapy of the diseases of lungs, heart and great vessels, esophagus and mediastinum, as well as reconstructive surgery and lungs transplants.
