    " Lo specialista in Microbiologia e Virologia possiede conoscenze teoriche, scientifiche e professionali nel campo della batteriologia, virologia, micologia e parassitologia medica; possiede specifiche competenze sulla morfologia, fisiologia, posizione tassonomica e genetica dei microrganismi, nonché sulle basi cellulari e molecolari della patogenicità microbica, sulle interazioni microrganismo-ospite, sul meccanismo d’azione delle principali classi di farmaci antimicrobici e sulle applicazioni biotecnologiche dei microrganismi; ha la capacità professionale per valutare gli aspetti diagnostico-clinici delle analisi batteriologiche, virologiche, micologiche e parassitologiche applicate alla patologia umana. "


    A specialist in Microbiology and Virology possesses theoretical, scientific and professional knowledge in the field of medical bacteriology, virology, mycology and parasitology; possesses specific expertise in morphology, physiology, genetics and taxonomic position of the microorganisms as well as on the cellular and molecular bases of microbial pathogenicity, host-microorganism interactions, the mechanism of action of the major classes of antimicrobial drugs and biotechnological applications of micro-organisms; has the professional ability to assess the diagnostic and clinical aspects of bacteriological, virological, mycological and parasitological analyses applied to human pathology.
