    Lo specialista in Radioterapia possiede capacità metodologica in relazione alla clinica, al management del paziente ed alle decisioni diagnostico/terapeutiche che garantiscano un approccio generale ed unitario alla soluzione dei problemi clinici, in particolare in radioterapia con fasci esterni (con acceleratore lineare, telecobaltoterapia e simulatore), brachiterapia, dosimetria e piani di trattamento. Conosce i meccanismi di azione delle radiazioni sulle popolazioni cellulari, sulla risposta tumorale alle radiazioni, sugli effetti delle radiazioni su organi e apparati, sugli indicatori della risposta biologica alle radiazioni, sui criteri e le procedure di radioprotezione. Definisce l'impostazione clinica del trattamento radioterapico.

    The specialist in radiation therapy has methodological capacity in relation to clinical aspects, management of the patient and diagnostic / therapeutic decisions which ensure general and unified approach to the solution of clinical problems, in particular: in external beam radiotherapy (with linear accelerator, telecobalt and simulator), brachytherapy, dosimetry and treatment plans. He knows the mechanisms of action of radiation on cell populations, the tumor response to radiation, the effects of radiation on organs and systems, the indicators of the biological response to radiation, the criteria and procedures for radiation protection. It defines the setting of clinical radiotherapy.
