    Nadzor nad: plovilima u pogledu njihove sposobnosti za plovidbu i pridržavanja pravila plovidbe, lukama, pristaništima, sidrištima i zimovnicima, tehničkim održavanjem vodnog puta i objekata sigurnosti plovidbe, gradnjom na vodnom putu u pogledu utjecaja na plovidbu, prijevozom putnika i stvari u pogledu zaštite ljudskih života i imovine, poštivanjem pravila o prijevozu opasnih tereta i zaštitom od onečišćenja s plovila.


    Supervision of: vessels with regard to their seaworthiness, and compliance with the rules of navigation, ports, harbors, anchorages and winter ports, technical maintenance of the waterway and navigational safety facilities, building on the waterway in terms of impact on navigation, transportation of passengers and goods in terms of protection of human life and property, respect for the rules on the transport of dangerous goods and the protection against pollution from vessels.
