The European Commission has published an update on progress made by EU countries in 2014 as regards their commitment to simplify start-up procedures.
Administrative simplification remains high on the political agenda of the EU and the Commission consistently monitors the progress of all EU countries in simplifying and reducing the time and cost to start-up a company.
What has been achieved:
- In 2014 further progress was made by EU countries in reducing time and cost of starting a private limited company.
- The reduction in average times is mostly due to simplifications implemented in Czech Republic and Sweden.
- The reduction in average costs is mostly due to simplifications implemented in Bulgaria and Greece.
