Follow-up of the White Paper

The European Commission committed itself to implementing a series of actions in order to perform the changes proposed in the White Paper on European Governance. Following the Public consultation which was completed by 31 March 2002, the Commission adopted a first series of measures (June 2002) to clarify and improve European legislation. At present, a second series of actions (December 2002) completes the implementation of the reform on the European governance. Moreover, the Commission in its report reviews its actions undertaken and gives an account of the outcome of the public consultation relating to the White Paper.
