STUDIES

Two studies are appended to the White Paper on European Governance, complementing the research of the working groups and the recommendations in the White Paper. They examine two key questions that are relevant to governance in Europe.

  • Is European legislation properly implemented?
    A Report document PDF [1MB] fr reviews and analyses the application of Community law by Member States and the control of this application by the Commission and suggests lessons to be drawn from it.
  • How do European citizens perceive the EU and what are their expectations?
    A survey, using a qualitative method, investigates public opinion about European Union issues:
