web pages on
Animal Welfare in
three languages
Together with the update of these pages we
intended to make them more user-friendly by providing a
clear presentation and overview of the Commissions
activities in this field. Youll find two main
sections, general issues, such as pages on policy
objectives or on the scientific background of the
Commission's measures, and second specific issues,
explaining the legislation specific to farming,
transport or slaughter issues and the animals
concerned. A table listing the relevant legislation in
11 languages completes the pages.
