  Training on zoonoses and microbiological criteria in foodstuffsslide

The training targets national competent authority control staff from EU and candidate countries, responsible for monitoring and controls of zoonoses, and for applying microbiological criteria in foodstuffs.

EU training contributes to harmonising the way EU countries monitor zoonoses and zoonotic agents, helping them to better check compliance with microbiological criteria in foodstuffs.

"Zoonoses" are diseases or infections that can be transmitted from animals to humans, usually through contaminated food or contact with infected animals.
