The EU organises training courses on feed law and its application for national control staff of EU and candidate countries. The courses are also open to staff from the European Free Trade Association, European Neighbourhood Policy and select non-EU countries.

EU law ensures that feed is safe during production, processing and distribution. The marketing of additives for feed is authorised after scientific tests show that they are not harmful.
