Better Training for Safer Food

Better Training for Safer Food

Better Training for Safer Food is a Commission training initiative covering food and feed law, animal health and welfare, as well as plant health rules, based on Article 51 of Regulation (EC) No 882/2004 on official controls. The aim is to keep participants up-to-date with EU law in these areas and help ensure more harmonised and efficient controls.

The Commission sets policy and general strategy for Better Training for Safer Food. This strategy is put into practice by the Consumers, Health and Food Executive Agency which manages all the phases of the training projects, from launch of calls for tender to evaluations of offers, award of contracts, and supervision of implementation.
