Expert group on legislation on plant reproductive material


Aim of the group

To advise the Commission on issues relating to the legislation on seeds and plant propagating material including plant variety rights and conservation of plant genetic resources. To facilitate the collection and exchange of information, experience and good practices in the area of plant reproductive material legislation.

Tasks

Meetings of Member States' technical experts assisting the Commission services in the development of new legislation in the area of seed and propagating material of agricultural plants, vegetables, forest reproductive material, fruit plants, vine, ornamental plants, plant variety rights and plant genetic resources.
