Summary of current knowledge of pre-notification practices for meat exports to Russia:

  • mandatory pre-notification only for meat, not meat products;
  • mandatory pre-notification when exports use maritime transport to: Kaliningrad, St Petersburg, Vladivostok, Petropavlovsk – Kamchatskiy and Magadan.
  • mandatory pre-notification for all destinations;
  • the sender's e-mail should be known in advance;
  • pre-notification must contain the following information in a form: number of the veterinary certificate, date of creation, type of products, weight, number of the container or name of the ship, sanitary stamp number, the exporter's name and the name of the Russian consignee;
  • pre-notification can be done every 10 or 15 days.
