    3. Broilers
      Regulation (EC) No 646/2007: target setting for reduction in flocks of broilers
      Launching of a baseline study from 1 October 2005 for a period of one year with the financial assistance of the Community, in order to estimate across the EU the prevalence of Salmonella spp. in flocks of broilers. These results shall also be used to set Community targets.


    4. Turkeys
      Launching of a baseline study from 1 October 2006 for a period of one year with the financial assistance of the Community, in order to estimate across the EU the prevalence of Salmonella spp. in flocks of turkeys. These results shall also be used to set Community targets.


    5. Fattening pigs
      Launching of a baseline study from 1 October 2006 for a period of one year with the financial assistance of the Community, in order to estimate across the EU the prevalence of Salmonella spp. in herds of fattening. These results shall also be used to set Community targets.


    6. Breeding pigs
      Launching of a baseline study from 1 October 2006 for a period of one year with the financial assistance of the Community, in order to estimate across the EU the prevalence of Salmonella spp. in herds of fattening. These results shall also be used to set Community targets.


  3. Cofinancing of national control programmes

    A decision on the cofinancing by the Community of national programmes for the eradication and monitoring of animal diseases, of certain TSEs, and for the prevention of zoonoses is adoprted each year.
