Compound
feedingstuffs are mixtures of feed materials,
which may contain additives for use as animal
feed in the form of complete or complementary
feedingstuffs.
Council Directive
79/373/EEC
sets out
the current rules on the marketing and
labelling of compound feedingstuffs.
Feedingstuffs may only be put on the market
if they are "sound, genuine and of
merchantable quality". They must not
represent any danger to human or animal
health or to the environment.
