The European Commission has notified the fisheries authorities of the Faroe Islands of its intention to adopt measures in support of the sustainability of herring fisheries shared with the Faroe Islands.

European Seafood Exposition

Brussels, Belgium, 24-26 April 2012

The European Commission will be present at the European Seafood Exposition to be held in Brussels on 24, 25 and 26 April 2012.

A European Commission information stand will be accessible to visitors wishing to obtain either general or specialized information. The stand will be in Hall 7 (Stand 1411).

European Commission experts in turn will ensure a permanent presence at the stand. Visitors will have the possibility to make an appointment in advance or directly at the stand. The experts will be very happy to answer your questions and hear your comments.

Meet European Commission experts and discuss the following issues:

On Tuesday 24 and Wednesday 25 April, 11:00 – 12:30, European Commission experts will hold a workshop on "Safety of fish and fishery products in the European Union and the role of the Food and Veterinary Office of the European Commission". Venue: Room 1124, Hall 11. Registration at European Commission stand or by email to SANCO-CONSULT-G6@ec.europa.eu

The European Fisheries Control Agency (CFCA) and the FARNET (European Fisheries Areas Network) Support Unit will also be present at the European Commission stand and at your disposal for your questions.
