The Framework Agreement was adopted by Council Regulation (EC) No 1580/87 of 2.6.87 (OJ L 146 of 6.6.87).
There is currently no protocol in force. The latest Protocol covered the period from 1 July 1993 to 30 June 1996.
Fishing opportunities under the Protocol currently in force
Fishing by the EU fleet was limited to 23 seiners and 7 pole-and-line vessels for tuna fishing. Demersal fishing was limited to 410 grt for wet fishing and 2,750 for freezer vessels.
