For the sixth year, the European Fisheries Control Agency (EFCA) coordinates the Joint Deployment Plan (JDP) for the Blue Fin Tuna fishery in the Mediterranean Sea and the Eastern Atlantic waters for 2013.
The European Fisheries Control Agency has presented the new tools to develop a culture of compliance in a reformed Common Fisheries Policy at the European Parliament today. Indeed, in the context of the new policy being designed, the EFCA, within its mandate, is ready to contribute to the success of the new CFP and the key features of regionalisation and discard ban and develop the necessary tools.

Sistem EU za nadzor ribištva

Za izvajanje pravil skupne ribiške politike v praksi je EU sprejela tudi sistem nadzora, vključno z ustreznimi instrumenti za njihovo uveljavljanje.

Za uveljavljanje pravil skupne ribiške politike je EU uvedla sistem nadzora, s katerim želi:

  • zagotoviti ulov samo dovoljenih količin rib;
  • zbrati potrebne podatke za upravljanje ribolovnih možnosti;
  • opredeliti naloge in pristojnosti držav EU in Komisije;
  • zagotoviti enotno uporabo ribiških pravil v vseh državah članicah EU in uskladiti sankcioniranje;
  • zagotoviti sledljivost in nadzor ribiških proizvodov v okviru celotne oskrbovalne verige, od „mreže do krožnika“.

Sistem nadzora je opredeljen vuredbi o nadzoru , ki je začela veljati 1. januarja 2010 in ki je temeljito spremenila pristop EU v zvezi z nadzorom ribištva. Po tej prenovi je sistem nadzora zdaj v skladu z ukrepi iz leta 2008 za boj proti nezakonitemu ribolovu.
