For the sixth year, the European Fisheries Control Agency (EFCA) coordinates the Joint Deployment Plan (JDP) for the Blue Fin Tuna fishery in the Mediterranean Sea and the Eastern Atlantic waters for 2013.
The European Fisheries Control Agency has presented the new tools to develop a culture of compliance in a reformed Common Fisheries Policy at the European Parliament today. Indeed, in the context of the new policy being designed, the EFCA, within its mandate, is ready to contribute to the success of the new CFP and the key features of regionalisation and discard ban and develop the necessary tools.

Unijny system kontroli rybołówstwa

Aby zapewnić przestrzeganie zasad, we wspólnej polityce rybołówstwa przewidziano również system kontroli obejmujący narzędzia niezbędne do egzekwowania przepisów.

Egzekwowanie przepisów wspólnej polityki rybołówstwa ma zapewnić system kontroli, który:

  • gwarantuje, że poławia się wyłącznie dozwolone ilości ryb,
  • zbiera dane niezbędne do zarządzania uprawnieniami do połowów,
  • określa zadania państw UE i Komisji
  • gwarantuje, że przepisy stosuje się wszędzie w taki sam sposób, a kary są ujednolicone w całej UE,
  • zapewnia identyfikowalność produktów rybołówstwa i ich kontrolę w całym łańcuchu dostaw - od łowiska do półmiska.

System kontroli ustanowiono w rozporządzeniu w sprawie kontroli , które weszło w życie 1 stycznia 2010 r. i unowocześniło unijne podejście do kontroli rybołówstwa. Przede wszystkim dostosowało ono system do środków przyjętych przez UE w 2008 r. w celu zwalczania nielegalnych połowów.
