Council adopts the ELTIFs regulation – 20.04.2015
The final text of the regulation on long-term investment funds (ELTIFs) has been adopted by the Council. The regulation will enter into force on the twentieth day following its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
European Parliament reaches agreement on Long Term Investment Funds – 10.03.2015
The European Parliament has reached agreement on the new framework on European Long Term Investment Funds (ELTIF) proposed by the Commission in June 2013.
Proposal of the Commission – 26.06.2013
On 26 June 2013, the European Commission proposed a new investment fund framework designed for investors who want to put money into companies and projects for the long term. These private European Long-Term Investment Funds (ELTIFs) would only invest in businesses that need money to be committed to them for long periods of time.
