22nd EU-Russia Summit, Nice - 14 November 2008

The Summit was hosted by Mr Nicolas SARKOZY, President of the French Republic, in his capacity as President of the European Council, assisted by the Secretary-General/High Representative, Dr Javier SOLANA, and by the President of the Commission, Mr José Manuel DURÃO BARROSO. The President of the European Council was accompanied by Mr Bernard KOUCHNER, Minister of Foreign Affairs. The President of the Commission was accompanied by the Commissioner for External Relations, Dr Benita FERRERO-WALDNER and the Commissioner for Trade, Baroness Catherine ASHTON. The Russian side was represented by President Dmitry MEDVEDEV, accompanied by Mr Sergey LAVROV, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
