The recent phenomenon of immigration facing Spain for just over a decade, has served as a platform to build a new and vigorous society, in which thousands of American professionals of different areas and sectors have managed to permeate indigenous society through their effort and tenacity, becoming true and noteworthy talents.
Since 2007 through its program 100 Latinos Madrid, the “Asociación Fusionarte” seeks to identify with the life histories of a large number of Latin Americans, those who through their entrepreneurial spirit and life experiences represent some of the most positive features of Latin America.
These 100 life stories are a sign of vitality, effort, commitment and humanity that characterizes the hundreds of professionals, workers, youth, women and men, who once bet on a project from home, and have managed to forge a place within the new Spanish society.

How do you choose the 100 Latinos Madrid?
The Latin American talent search in the Spanish capital is part of a field that does not stop.
Without losing sight of the main guidelines of the profile of a 100 Latinos, field work often relies on the Embassies and Consulates of Latin American countries for their constant contact with the citizens of the states they represent, the managers of Centers for Immigrant Integration and Participation (CEPI), associations, foundations, cultural institutions, NGOs and other organizations working with the immigrant community and universities, among others.
But there are many stories of those unsung heroes who escape formal circles. So from 2009 we decided to offer the public the opportunity to nominate potential candidates who fit the profile of the 100 Latinos.
Through contact with the above organizations and public input, an extensive database of life histories of Latin American immigrants in Madrid has been built. After some interviews, the most interesting experiences are chosen and then make up the 100 Latinos in each edition, complied in a special publication containing these 100 stories of merit.
Along with the publication, this meticulous fieldwork is officially presented by a ceremony in the amphitheater Gabriela Mistral de Casa de América (Madrid) where the protagonists of those 100 stories gather together with family and friends, the media communication, representatives of various public and private organizations, etc.
