The Choices Program (PE), was created in 2001 by Resolution of the Council of Ministers (RCM) no. 9/2001, and its mission is to promote the social inclusion of children and young people from more vulnerable socio-economic contexts, with a view to equal opportunities and the enhancement of social cohesion.
The 4th Generation of PE was established through the RCM no. 63/2009, of 23 July, with the renewal of the Choices Programme for the period 2010 to 2012. Hence, it was intended to consolidate the model of previous generations, investing in the development of activities in the context of the fight against failure and dropping out of school, support in the creation of employment, guidance and referral for vocational training, combat the info exclusion, the development of entrepreneurship, fostering community and citizenship, to support the training and empowerment of young people, as well as a greater corresponsabilization of family members in the process of learning and personal and social development of children and young people.
Therefore, the document reports the activities developed during this phase of the Project, some of the results achieved and the evalution processes of their activities during this period of time.
