Volunteers in NGOs and associations are invaluable and often the only source of labor. Where to find them? How do you attract them? How to lend support and motivate them to stay in our association for a long time? What are the legal frameworks of organized voluntary work? All these issues will be discussed at a workshop organized by the Slovenian Philanthropy within the project Pankultikum.

Who is the workshop for?

The workshop targets representatives of migrant / immigrant associations and organizations, who include (or want to include) volunteers in their organizations and want to gain knowledge in the field of organized volunteering and exchange experiences with mentors from similar organizations.

Workshop Program

At the workshop, participants will learn about the following topics:

  • Promoting volunteering and recruitment of volunteers for the needs of cultural associations and organizations;
  • Support and motivate volunteers to work successfully;
  • Understanding of volunteering as a learning process;
  • The legal framework of organized voluntary work.

The workshop is based on the principles of informal education and will allow participants space to share experiences and opinions, and encourage them to collaborate in research and finding of solutions.

Date and time of the workshop

The workshop will be held on Saturday, 29 March 2014 , from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
