Organiser The Bulgarian Council for Refugees and Migrants, the Alliance for Protection against Domestic Violence, the European Women’s Lobby and the UNHCR Representation in Bulgaria

The Bulgarian Council for Refugees and Migrants together with the Alliance for Protection against Domestic Violence, the European Women’s Lobby and the UNHCR Representation in Bulgaria are organizing a networking conference for prevention of sexual and gender based violence (SGBV) in the context of international protection on the 27 February in the Hilton Hotel in Sofia. The conference will focus on the situation of refugee and migrant women and will explore the following topics: Good Practices and Services for Victims of Gender Based Violence in Bulgaria, Experience and Partnerships for the Protection of Refugee Women against Gender Based Violence, Cooperation and Partnerships among the State Institutions, Civil Society Organizations and Refugee Communities for Prevention and Protection against Gender Based Violence. Ms Colette De Troy, the director of the European Women’s Lobby Observatory against Violence against Women will be a guest of the event and will introduce the participants to the Council of Europe’s Convention on Preventing and Combating Violence against Women and Domestic Violence.
