End 29/10/2013 - 00:00
Venue Folkets Hus, Stockholm
Organiser The Nordic Minister Council and the Swedish Ministry of Education
The focus of the conference will be on how best to utilise the skills of those moving to the Nordic countries. It is of great importance that foreign-educated individuals can apply their university education in the labour market. Topics will include integration of foreign-educated individuals, current research in this area, and the preparatory programmes offered.
Representatives from the Nordic countries will present different paths to employment. There will also be an international outlook, with our Canadian keynote speaker presenting the Foreign Qualification Recognition Plan for Alberta. Additionally, there will be workshops dealing with recognition without full documentation, supplementary training for foreign teachers, and more.
We cordially invite higher education and integration policymakers and representatives from the Nordics to attend.
The conference will be held in Musiksalen at Norra Latin in Stockholm and is free of charge.
Scandinavian languages will be used at the conference, except during the Canadian keynote which will be in English.
