La Pelle del Mondo is an artistic project in which there are four essential elements: a multicultural context, fabrics, the action of sewing and exhibition in public space.

La Pelle del Mondo is the creation of several art works, made by the collaboration of women of different cultures who operate at the same time to achieve the same final goal. Sewing together, participants will regain a symbolic unity action in the art context. The process of sewing implicates actions of cohesiveness, integration, a sharing gesture: all important as much as the final art work itself. These creative meetings will encourage participants to share their experiences of being immigrants, to create new links, spin stories and discover new relations.

The Skin of the World wants to favour and to sensitize public awareness about the integration process in a multicultural context, make stronger the fact that the multicultural cooperation can give tangible results.

Meetings will take place in Warsaw, twice a week, starting from the 6th of March 2013
