IOM International Organization for Migration in Slovakia kindly invites you to:

Presentation of the findings of the research project on violence against migrants in Slovakia.

The presentation will take place on Wednesday, 20th March 2013, 2.00 pm in Hotel Avance Bratislava (Medena 9).

The research project "Causes, forms and consequences of violence agains Third Country Nationals in Slovak Republic" has been conducted between January 2012 and March 2013 and funded by the European Fund for Integration of Third Country Nationals (TCNs). The aim was to undertake a complex analysis of the phenomena of violence against TCNs in Slovakia. The findings should be used to inform the legislation, policy and practise of preventing, detecting and combating violence against migrants and its consequences. The research identifies the causes, risks factors and consequences of violence against migrants and presents migrants own experiences with various forms of violence. It evaluates the existing legislation, policy and practise in the areas of migration and violence and provides a set of recommendations for the key stakeholders.
