Milan Šimečka Foundation organizes an open space conference on 'Diverse society. Do we know what is our direction?'

 

The aim of the conference is to create space for a discussion about the contemporary position of minorities in Slovakia. The meeting should reflect challenges related to a diverse society and offer an open space for exchange of experiences and consequently support cooperation on different levels.

 

The main objectives of the conference are:

- to open space for meeting and building relations of state institutions, self-governments, non-governmental institutions, experts, academics and activists.

- to discuss actual challenges and directions in area of minority human rights, inclusion of excluded groups, foreigners integration and development of intercultural society

- to exchange information about activities of participating institutions and individuals

- to introduce examples of good practise in minority issue

 9:00 -  9:15  Opening 

 9:15 -  9:45  Introduction to Open Space method

 9:45 - 10:30  Proposal of themes

10:30 - 11:45  Open Space discussions - 1st round

11:45 - 13:00  Open Space discussions - 2nd round

12:30 - 13:45  Lunch

13:45 - 15:00  Open Space discussions - 3rd round

15:00 - 16:00  Presentation of results and end of conference
