The FRA will host its annual Fundamental Rights Conference at the European Parliament on 6-7 December 2012. The event will be held under the auspices of the President of the European Parliament and with the support of the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

This year’s conference theme's, "Justice in austerity: challenges and opportunities for access to justice", will examine the effects of the economic crisis on judicial systems and those seeking justice, and will explore opportunities for innovation and reform. With about 300 decision makers, practitioners and experts from across the EU, the event is envisaged to serve as a high-level forum for developing policy-oriented solutions that will help to further access to justice for everyone in the EU.
