What does the concept of 'good relations' mean in the Finnish, Swedish and European contexts? How to combat xenophobia and other forms of intolerance through the promotion of good relations? What can we do to measure the state of good relations and why should we do that?
These and many other questions related to racism, xenophobia, anti-gypsyism, islamophobia, anti-semitism, afrophobia and other forms of intolerance will be discussed at the first transnational workshop of the Good Relations Project.
The one-day workshop aims at discussing the concept of 'good relations' in the Finnish, Swedish and European contexts. The participants will be given examples of existing measures to promote good relations and combat xenophobia and other forms of intolerance at local level in Finland and Sweden. The workshop will also kick-off the establishment of indicators for the measurement of good relations.
