Please choose a goal from the list below to find information and data on the relevant sub-indicators. A time graph will allow you to see the development of each sub-indicator at one glance as well as to compare your country to the EU average and other EU Member States. In addition, access to the data for each indicator is provided.
The indicator set comprises 100 indicators that are structured along the 17 SDGs. Each goal has 6 indicators primarily attributed to it, except for goals 14 and 17 which only have 5. 41 of the 100 indicators are multipurpose, i.e. are used to monitor more than one SDG. All indicators are grouped in sub-themes to underline interlinkages and highlight different aspects of each SDG. The current set of indicators is available in this Excel file.
Annual reviews of the EU SDG indicator set are foreseen to incorporate indicators from new data sources which become available over time and to take into account new EU policy priorities, including EU longer term visions beyond 2020. In preparation of the EU SDG monitoring report 2018, the indicator set was reviewed between December 2017 and March 2018.
The report describes the process and presents the outcome of the review of the indicator set; the full set of EU SDG indicators 2018 is provided in annex 4 and is also available as Excel file. The EU SDG indicator set 2018 will be implemented on Eurostat’s website together with the release of the 2018 edition of the EU SDG monitoring report.
