Back Influenza vaccination rate of elderly

Logo Statistics ExplainedThe EU Member States have a range of different policies on vaccination of the general public, which are often targeted at elderly people. One of the diseases for which a vaccination exists is influenza, which mostly affects people in winter.

There are considerable differences between Member States in vaccinations against influenza: in 2015, more than two-thirds of people aged 65 and over were vaccinated in the Netherlands (67 %) and the United Kingdom (71 %), while around 2 % were vaccinated in Latvia, Bulgaria and Estonia.
