Back Focus on EU's dentists and pharmacists

Logo Statistics ExplainedIn 2014, 345 000 dentists and 440 000 pharmacists worked in the EU. Among the EU Member States, Greece recorded the highest share of dentists (126 per 100 000 inhabitants), followed by Bulgaria and Cyprus (both 98). The lowest proportions were found in Poland (34), Malta (47) and Slovakia (49).

Finland recorded the highest number of practising pharmacists per 100 000 inhabitants in the EU (127), and was followed by Belgium (120), Ireland (118) and Spain (117).

The majority of the Member States reported 50 - 110 pharmacists per 100 000 inhabitants, although Cyprus (22) and the Netherlands (27) were below this range.
