The youth unemployment rate is the unemployment rate of people aged 15 - 24 as a percentage of the labour force of the same age group, based on the International Labour Office (ILO) definition. For more information on the definition please refer to the reference metadata information. The MIP indicator is calculated as an average of the last three years values of the annual unemployment rates.
The indicative threshold for the Youth unemployment rate (3 year change in p.p.) is 2.0 p.p. When the value of the indicator is below the defined threshold the country is coloured in green on the map.
