Glossary:Tourism trip length
The length of tourism trips (involving at least one overnight stay) falls into two categories:
- long tourism trips are trips with at least four overnight stays;
- short tourism trips are trips with one to three overnight stays.
The average length of stay for a number of tourism trips is calculated by dividing the total number of nights spent by the total number of tourism trips.
