Presentation of three recently reviewed EC thematic programmes

Three thematic programmes under the Development Cooperation Instrument- Environment (ENRTP), Food Security (FSTP) and Human & Social Development (Investing in People), accompany geographical programmes and complement the EU's commitment towards achieving the Milennium Development Goals.
In particular, they focus on the areas of environmental sustainability and the sustainable management of natural resources, food security, as well as health, education, knowledge and skills, gender equality, employment, social cohesion, children, youth and culture.
The programming of the second phase of the programmes was concluded in late 2010 and contains an update of the 2077-2010 Thematic Strategies and presents new Multi-Annual Indicative Programmes (MIPs), determining the new priorities for 2011-2013.
The objective of the lunchtime conference is to inform the audience of the recent launch of second phase of the thematic programmes and to outline the new priorities for the coming three years.
