“Masarat” (“Journeys”) is a collection of 4 four short films by
Palestinian women filmmakers addressing different aspects of Palestinian
women’s lives. Women artists were given the stage to express their identity,
struggle andfears.
Produced by Shashat with support of the European Commission, these
short films were screened in 2009 during the 5th edition of the Annual Women’s
Festival in Palestine, the only on-going event
of this kind in the Arab world.
2 of the 4 short films will be screened in the infopoint and introduced
by our colleague in charge of Genderequality in our Delegation in Gaza
strip.

AWSA-Be will be presented after the screening as well as few pictures from
Palestine. AWSA’s objective is to promote the women's rights originating from
the Arab world. By their actions, they encourage the women to take an active
part in all the fields of the private life and public and to free ourselves
from any domination social, political, economic or religious.
