Joint Evaluation of General Budget Support - ref. 951665
The on going General Budget Support evaluation is a joint - partner country and donors - exercise, managed by a Joint Donor Management Group (DFID, EC, SIDA and BTC) on behalf of an International Steering Group (Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, European Commission/EuropeAid, France, Germany, Ireland, IADB, IMF, Japan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, OECD/DAC, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, USA, World Bank, Governments of Burkina Faso, Malawi, Mozambique, Nicaragua, Rwanda, Uganda, Vietnam).
The purpose of the evaluation is to evaluate to what extent, and under what circumstances GBS is relevant, efficient and effective for achieving sustainable impacts on poverty reduction and growth. The evaluation focuses on identifying and evaluating different approaches to GBS on testing a methodology for evaluation of GBS and specifically learning.
The evaluation is based on seven country evaluations; Rwanda, Uganda, Mozambique, Malawi, Burkina Faso, Nicaragua and Vietnam; and will result in seven country reports and a synthesis report.
