YOUR FIRST JOB ABROAD
Your First Job Abroad participants start their adventures!
We are very pleased to announce that the first batch of participants of the Your First Job Abroad mobility initiative have now started exciting new professional contracts abroad.
A celebration of the initiative, with Commissioner Vladimir Špidla present, will take place at Cite Universitaire Internationale in Paris on 3 October. It will form the final part of October’s EURES-T conference on cross-border mobility.
Your First Job Abroad is an initiative designed to publicise how much more easily workers can move within Europe with the right help and advice from EURES, the European Jobs Network. The lucky participants, who have never worked abroad before, have been helped to find a job elsewhere in the EU. Each one will receive full support from a local EURES Adviser throughout their time away from home.
You will be able to follow the progress of selected employees throughout their time abroad on this website—watch this space!
EURES helps citizens of the EU, the EEA countries (Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein), and Switzerland to find jobs abroad all year round, and offers a network of over 700 advisers. For help from your local EURES Adviser on finding a job elsewhere in Europe, search the EURES Adviser database on the EURES Job Mobility Portal.
