The Portuguese American Post-Graduate Society (PAPS) is a non-profit organization, created in 1998 as a means of promoting interaction among Portuguese post-graduate students and researchers in North America, and of establishing and maintaining relations between that community and Portugal. ISSNAF (Italian Scientists and Scholars in North America Foundation) is a 501c(3) not-for-profit organization whose mission is to promote scientific, academic and technological cooperation amongst Italian researchers and scholars active in North America and the world of research in Italy. ISSNAF was established in 2008 under the auspices of the Italian Embassy in Washington, by 37 Italian world-renowned researchers, including 4 Nobel Laureates. ISSNAF Members are post-graduates of Italian origin with at least one year affiliation to a North-American academic or scientific institution.Through its Members, the ISSNAF is represented in over 300 centres of excellence in North America in all fields of research and Academia, from hard science to humanities. ISSNAF hosts the Network of Italian Societies of North-American Universities and actively supports Young ISSNAF, the network of under-40 researchers.
