ERC Information Session at the American Society for Cell Biology Annual Meeting, 15-19 December 2012, San Francisco, CA
The European Research Council (ERC) will host an information session titled "Funding Opportunities in Europe for Researchers from Anywhere in the World" at the forthcoming American Society for Cell Biology (ASCB) Annual Meeting in San Francisco, CA.
At the ERC information session, ERC grantees will share their experiences with the funding initiatives and answer questions from the audience. An ERC Scientific Officer will present the ERC's funding schemes and provide answers to practical questions on the application and selection process.
The ERC information session will take place on Monday, 17th December, from 1:00 to 2:30 PM in room 130 at the Moscone Center.

"Destination Europe" Conference, 6-7 December 2012, San Francisco, CA
'Destination Europe' events showcase the vibrant and exciting research and innovation culture in Europe and the opportunities available to researchers, from anywhere in the world, interested in working in Europe. It is a joint initiative of the European Union and its Member States.
At the San Francisco event you will find:
- Experts from European research organizations, funding agencies and European Commission services who will present programs, initiatives, excellent institutions and opportunities to develop innovation and technology transfer;
- Researchers who have had the experience of moving to Europe temporarily or permanently and who will share their experience with you;
- Information about the practicalities of moving to Europe (scientific visa, mobility centers etc.);
- An exhibition space with stands to provide additional information.

Cost: there will be no charge for participation, but prior registration will be obligatory.
