AXELERA is a world competitive cluster in the domain of Chemistry and Environment, has been set up by five founding members (Rhodia, Arkema, SUEZ, IFP and the CNRS) the 28 June 2005 and approved by the French Government.

It brings together players from industry, research and training within the environmental chemical sector who share the same goal: "To facilitate the construction of a global industrial and scientific network that combines chemistry and environment”.

ChinaAccess4EUThe ChinaAccess4EU project is funded by the European Commission under the FP 7 Framework. The proposed ChinaAccess4EU project has the following general objectives:

  • Increase the awareness and dissemination in the EU of access opportunities for European researchers and research organisations in Chinese national research and innovation programmes;
  • Increase S&T cooperation between Europe and China, especially effective collaborations of European researchers and research organisations in Chinese national research and innovation programmes;
  • Help develop the reciprocity aspect of EU-China S&T agreements and improve EU’s understanding of the respective research systems in China.

CNRSThe CNRS office in China is one of the 11 representative offices abroad of the French National Center for Scientific Research (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique), a government-funded organization carrying out research in all fields of knowledge.

The CNRS office in China is an intermediary between the CNRS European Research and International Cooperation department and Chinese research entities.

 

For this, the office’s missions are:

  • To accompany delegations of French researchers  in China
  • To promote, follow and ensure the continued existence of the CNRS international cooperation tools
  • To inform and advise the CNRS direction of the research priorities in China

The European University Centre at Peking University is a Centre for cooperation in education and research between a number of high profile European universities and Peking University.

The aim of the Centre is to establish joint research projects within various disciplines and faculties, to arrange conferences, seminars and workshops on topics of common interest, and to develop cooperation between Peking University and other universities and research institutions in China (like CAS and CASS) and the European universities.

In collaboration with Peking University and the European member universities, the Centre also gives a course in European Studies and promotes other joint projects in education.
