PhD position (Early Stage Researcher) "ESR7" for research project "SIMDALEE2" (Sources, Interaction with Matter, Detection and Analysis of Low Energy Electrons)
We are inviting applications for a full-time PhD position - Early Stage Researcher (ESR) within
the framework of the Marie Curie Initial Training Network "SIMDALEE2" (Sources, Interaction
with Matter, Detection and Analysis of Low Energy Electrons).
SIMDALEE2 is a 4 year project funded by the European Commission consisting of 11 renowned
research institutes and 2 SMEs from 9 European countries. The overall objective is to establish
a world-class research training platform for the science and technology of nanoscale
manipulation and analysis using low energy electrons. The successful candidate will have the
opportunity to improve his/her scientific and complementary skills and greatly further his/her
career opportunities in S & T in Europe.
The ESR will be enrolled as a PhD student at the Department of Physics, University of Ljubljana and will be required to complete secondments at 3 different European partner institutions for a total period of 9 months.
He/she will be working on an individual research project and write and defend a PhD thesis.
