The University of Verona invites all foreign researchers to choose our university as host institution for a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship. Our Research Office is available to assist researchers in the project proposal submission.
The University of Verona was established fairly recently but its cultural background goes back in time. Nowadays, with more than 700 professors and 700 administrative and technical staff members, the University of Verona educates about 25.000 students.
The institution devotes special attention to the research activities. In the previous Seventh Framework Programme, the university has successfully participated in more than 65 projects in several fields: Energy, Environment, Health, ICT, Biotechnology, Nanoscience, Technologies, Materials and new manufacturing, Security and Socio-Economic Sciences and Humanities.

The MSC are European research grants available to researchers of any nationality or field of research. The aim of MSC is to gain experience abroad, in academia or in the private sector, as well as to complete their training with skills or disciplines useful for their careers. Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowships concern two kind of grants:
EUROPEAN FELLOWSHIPS: the actions are held in EU Member States or Associated Countries for a period of 12 to 24 months and are open to researchers either coming to Europe or moving within Europe.
GLOBAL FELLOWSHIPS: the actions are based on a mobility to a third country (for 12 to 24 months) institution and a mandatory return period (12 months) to a European host institution.
- must be in possession of Doctoral Degree or have at least 4 years of full-time equivalent research experience.
-must not have resided nor carried out his/her main activity (work , studies, etc) in Italy for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the call deadline
