Postdoc position in the Physics of Nuclear Division group at the Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência (IGC), 2780-156 Oeiras, Portugal. The IGC is a leading international biomedical research and graduate training institute situated at the Lisbon coastline in close proximity to other research institutes.
The Fellowship will have an initial duration of 12 months, with the possibility for extension to a total of three years, starting as early as possible.
A PhD in bioengineering, (bio-) physics, biochemistry or related fields. Advanced experience in light microscopy or optical design is essential. She / he should be competent in spoken and written English. The successful candidate is expected to apply for external fellowships (e.g. EMBO, Marie Curie, HFSP, Humboldt) to fund his/her postdoc position independently as soon as possible.
