Applications are invited for the above position to work in the framework of a European funded project at Sanofi R&D, Toulouse (France). The successful candidates will register for a 18 months Postdoc within the Marie Curie Initial Training Network (ITN): Infection Biology Training Network -INBIONET. http://www.inbionet.eu/
Important : must have completed Master degree after feb 2009 and have not spent more than 12 months in France over the last past 3 years
The Postdoc project will focus on understanding and controlling the innate immunity involved in host-virus interactions to develop innovative immunomodulation therapies to prevent and treat acute or chronic viral infections. Strong background in immunology, infectious diseases/virology; cellular and molecular biology
The successful candidate, in closed collaboration with INBIONET partners from Trinity College Dublin, Queen University (Ireland), University of Vienna (Austria), Institut Pasteur (France) andParkbit Baleares(Spain), will learn a breath of state-of-the-art methodologies to tackle host-pathogen interactions with emphasis on manipulation of the innate immune system.

The candidate will be employed on a fixed-term contract for 18 months. The salary for this post is set by the regulations governing Marie Curie projects. In addition to basic salary, the successful applicant will receive a generous monthly mobility allowance (exact amount depending on personal and family circumstances). |ER fellow must, at the time of recruitment, have been awarded a doctoral degree PhD (four years full-time equivalent research experience of their research careers). Postdoc could be located either in Sanofi Toulouse or Sanofi Pasteur Lyon (temporarily assigment). They are required to undertake trans-national mobility (i.e. move from one country to another) when taking up their appointment.In addition, the applicants must have good communication skills and ability to work efficiently in a team.|
