The Dendritic Cells in Infection and Immunity Laboratory group, led by Dr. Lionel Poulin (http://u1019.lille.inserm.fr/recherche/poulin/) and part of the Center for Infection and Immunity of Lille (www.ciil.fr), is looking for postdoctoral candidates to apply for a permanent research position. The project will examine mouse and/or human dendritic cells subsets development and functions in steady state and infectious conditions (see Poulin et al., J Exp Med, 2010 and Poulin et al., Blood 2012). Applicants must be experienced researchers with a doctoral degree related to medical/biological sciences and interest in dendritic cells. Applicants must possess a strong publication record, with experience in molecular biology, cell biology and/or mouse in vivo work.
The Center for Infection and Immunity beneficiates from infrastructures present at the Pasteur Institute of Lille, recognized world wide for its contributions to biomedical science. Cutting-edge approaches are available, e.g. large scale RNAi screening, high-throughput high content state-of-the art-imaging to investigate host-pathogens interactions, and lentiviruses-mediated shRNA silencing (www.bicel.org/). Lille is at one hour by train from other main cities like Paris, London and Brussels.
