Next Limit currently has a position available for a PRISM network researcher to work in its offices in Madrid, Spain. The position consists of a full time 36-month PhD fellowship.

Description

Next Limit is a partner of the EU‐funded Marie Curie Initial Training Network on the Perceptual Representation of Illumination, Shape and Material (PRISM).

PRISM is an EU-funded research and training network that unites nine leading academic and industrial partners from across Europe to understand how the brain represents the physical properties of objects, surfaces and lighting in the surrounding world.

Next Limit currently has a position available for a PRISM network researcher to work in its offices in Madrid, Spain. The position consists of a full time 36-month PhD fellowship.

The position involves exciting opportunities for travel, exchange and collaboration with leading European researchers. While at Next Limit, the researcher will also enroll for a PhD program at Justus-Liebig Universität (in the PRISM network in Giessen, Germany), though this position is based in Madrid, Spain.

Our funding means that there are some rules regarding mobility: at the time of the recruitment, the researcher must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work , studies, etc) in Spain for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the reference date.

Skills and requirements
Next Limit is looking for people with the following requirements. You should have a good undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline and some relative skills:
- University Degree in Physics, Mathematics, Optics or related
- Programming in C and C++
- Knowledge in 3D software
Beyond that, we are looking for people who are enthusiastic about understanding the brain, learning new techniques and contributing to new experiments.
